SEASONS OF THE SURFCAMP
- Low season: from December until March.
- Mid season: From October to November, and from March to April
- High Season: from May until September. -
BOOKING HOW MANY DAYS IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK?
We can only guarantee the availability of the service with a minimum of two weeks notice before arrival, but as long as there's availability we welcome you. So, if you have a last minute enquiry please send us an email!

CAN I CHANGE THE DATES AFTER I BOOK?
Yes, if there's availability for the new dates. In some cases we charge a small fee. But only in extraordinary cases, like last minute changes or changing to next year.

CAN YOU GIVE ANY DISCOUNTS?
We only make discounts to groups of 5 or more people, but only for the package of accommodation and surf lessons (minimum 7 nights and 5 days of surf classes). We also give discounts to regular clients that come 3 or more times.

WHEN DO WE NEED TO PAY THE BALANCE?
We kindly ask you to settle the payment as soon as you arrive or at least 72 hours before you leave any of Surf Camps. You also may pay the total before you arrive.

HOW DO WE PAY THE 20%?
As soon as you tell us what services you would like to have (usually by email), we will send you a quote and if you interested we will send you a link for you to pay by bank transfer.

WHICH NATIONALITIES USUALLY ATTEND THE SURF CAMP?
We're happy to say that we have costumers from all around the world. There is no country that we can say that most our customers come from.

DOES THE SCHOOL OPERATE ALL YEAR LONG?
Yes, we never close.

WHAT SHOULD I TAKE WITH ME?
Besides your personal belongings, you should bring: · sunscreen;
· sun block for the face (you can also use Zink cream for sensitive areas like, nose, lips and cheeks)
· aloe vera (relieves sunburn)
· sunglasses and cap
· beach towel
· waterproof ear plugs if you have “sensitive” ears or hearing problems.
· Swim Suit to wear underneath the wetsuit. The temperature in Portugal drops down quite a bit when the sun goes down, so make sure you bring some warm clothes (jacket, pants, long sleeves, pullover) as well as your beach gear. -
CAN I ATTEND THE SURF CAMP IF I HAVE NEVER SURFED?
Of course you can, actually a great percentage of our clients have never had any previous contact with surfing. Our teaching method for beginners starts from zero. You need to be able to swim and to know that you will live and unforgettable experience.

IF I CAN ALREADY SURF, SHOUL I ALSO ATTEND TO LESSONS?
Of course you should, if you have already reached a certain level you will join the improvement group. Here the ratio of instructor per student changes but also the layout of lessons. And you will improve your surfing technique and skills.

COULD I GO ALONE TO THE SURF CAMP?
Yes, you can. We have many people in the surf camp who join us alone. Once at the surf camp you will meet more guests like you and making some new friends.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?
No but if you are under-18, we require an authorization from your parents (guardians). Surf is not advice for pregnants. Make sure you’re healthy and you have no physical restrictions.

WHAT CHOICE OF ACCOMMODATION DO I HAVE?
We have shared, private (single or double room) and loft/apartment accommodation. You may check them under the menu Surfcamp, on our website. We always organize people in the most comfortable way, and avoid putting people from different groups or genders together in the same room.

CAN I TAKE ACCOMMODATION AND SURF LESSONS AND THE PERSON WHO COMES WITH ME JUST ACCOMMODATION?
Yes, you can take one package and the other person takes another one.

SURF LESSONS ARE THERE ANY RESTRICTIONS ON THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE ATTENDING A LESSON?
No the number is unrestricted.

HOW LONG IS A SURF LESSON?
It takes about an hour and a half.

DO YOU HAVE SURF LESSONS EVERY DAY?
Yes, there are surf lessons every day of the week including weekends.

DO YOU GIVE PRIVATE LESSONS?
Yes, but these depend on the availability of the teachers. They will have an extra charge.

CAN I HAVE ONLY THE LESSONS?
Yes.

CAN I TAKE MY KIDS TO HAVE SURF LESSONS?
Yes. As long as they have more than 6 years old and know how to swim.

DO YOU HAVE LUGGAGE STORAGE?
Luggage Storage available ate Fish Surf School for free for our costumers (lessons, surf camp and rentals customers). For non clientes we charge a small fee. Please see the prices and conditions here.
